Perfume Composition
Connection Parfumerie
Perfume is an intricate composition that unfolds over time, with each drop creating a captivating dance on your skin. This journey is guided by the Olfactive Pyramid, a three-part framework that reveals the enchanting evolution of scents.
Top Notes: The Vivid Prelude
Top notes are the initial impressions of the scent which burst with life, leaving a vivid and vibrant impact that catches your attention. Often featuring zesty citrus fruits like lemon, lime, and bergamot, as well as invigorating ginger, these notes are like a lively opening act.
They're light and quick to evaporate, leaving a fleeting trail of freshness that lasts around 20-30 minutes.
Heart Notes: The Soulful Transition
As the top notes fade, the heart notes emerge to reveal the fragrance's true potential. These notes are like the soul of the perfume, well-rounded and mellow, creating a harmonious transition.
Flowers, spices, vegetal touches, and fruits shine in this phase, adding depth and character that lasts for up to 4 hours.
Base Notes: The Lasting Foundation
Now, it's time to meet the foundation of the fragrance – the base notes, which are the foundation of the fragrance. These notes are rich and deep, featuring resinous elements, lush woods, sweet spices like vanilla, and even hints of animalic and musky qualities.
They lend stability and endurance, acting as fixatives that enhance the lighter top and heart notes. Unlike their counterparts, these molecules are heavyweights, detectable for a remarkable 6+ hours.
